Are you running linux on your Pi? If you are you need to run mprime (get it here: https://www.mersenne.org/download/)

From a quick look the Raspberry OS is based on Debian which is a linux distro.
The download name starts with P95, but the software inside is mprime. Last fiddled with by Uncwilly on 2020-08-05 at 14:44 |

Prime95/mprime is Intel/AMD X86/64 only. For ARM you need to run mlucas.
Basically:

For reference, here are some benchmarks that I ran last year, but with 64-bit Gentoo (the official OS was still 32-bit only at that point) and an older version of Mlucas.

In general, see the attachment at https://www.mersenneforum.org/showpo...91&postcount=2 for what's possible on what hardware with what software. It's part of a large repository of reference info indexed at https://www.mersenneforum.org/showth...922#post521922 Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2020-08-05 at 19:40 |

The new script is nice because it makes it easy to track progress of one's various compute devices via the Primenet server's CPUs page for one's account, and progress-updating is further useful in preventing assignments being run on slower micro-PC devices from expiring before one has completed them. @OP: Once you've completed the 'tune' step for your machine (the self-test described at the readme), please do be so kind as to post the resulting mlucas.cfg file here. Also useful is to monitor your CPU temps during the self-test, to see if any throttling is likely going on. Have fun! |
