Not an answer to your question and likely not what you are looking for, but just yesterday I found out that:
Windows 10 >> Settings >> Colors >> Dark-Mode Exists which will turn all Windows backgrounds dark. ETA In my experience BB code add-ons makes updating the core code problematic and increase the vulnerability to hacking even for non-free add-ons. ETA II That's probably why most major forums (if not all) use the default theme. Last fiddled with by a1call on 2020-07-25 at 15:26 |

There is a provision to have alternate themes.
You can probably find more info here: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html?...rsion=30811500

It's possible to get a half working dark style (client side of course) by installing Stylus (https://add0n.com/stylus.html) a custom webpage styler with css. Was messing around with the css for a while, but css selection is my weak point escpecially with all these tables.
So just installed https://userstyles.org/styles/31267/...ything-to-dark and edited to only apply to mersenneforum.org The new reply window is broken visually with that, but i'm sure it is fixable somehow. I know not all of you like javascript and extensions in your browser, but it may scratch for some. I'm liking lighter styles lately when it isn't using the full #fff with mobile sized dynamic modern pages. |
