Not around here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin Cousin, not qualified by degree or removal, is specifically a child of a sibling of a parent.

(This doesn't mean that I don't help people who unwittingly make an error in words.)
Back in the good old days "nephew", like "man", applied equally to both sexes.

I knew I'd read the word, couldn't quite place it.

My old Merriam-Webster has the meaning, to grumble or complain.

However, a little online searching turned up the meaning I'd seen, which, I suspect (and please, correct me if I'm wrong) is the meaning in question here: altering computer data (e.g. reformatting HTML).

It can be done maliciously and/or destructively.

However, in the specific usage I know I've seen of "munged" in this regard, it was on the side of the angels: transmogrifying an E-mail address so that it was human-readable, but (hopefully) less so to spam-bots.

Rhymes with "sponge"

Use a dictionary, not an encyclopedia.
