From what I see it is the general consensus that people's who have recovered do not shed the virus and are generally not required to self isolate.
There are reports of people who test positive after "recovering" but this is not a common occurrence. Regardless that's precisely why we need intermediate zones between the Hot-Zone and the Free-Zone, to weed out any such occurrences and increase the confidence in the Free-Zone. There is the low-risk that a few of the Recovered-Hired-to-perform-essential-services to come down with the disease again, but this risk is much lower than the current risk of people-without-immunity-performing-essential-services to come down with the disease. As such it would be much easier to address and mitigate such occurrences in a Reverse-Quarantine approach than the current setup. Last fiddled with by a1call on 2020-03-30 at 20:30 |

Reportedly, there are now EIGHT strains of COVID-19 circulating, but I can't find authoritative statements online.

"Hospital staff in the city say there is no evidence that these patients became infectious after recovery" Remember that this is from the same area that at one point denied there was human to human transmission. Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2020-03-31 at 01:05 |
