Subscribed-thread enhancement?

Right now it's a multi-click procedure related to Subscribed-thread management:

1. Get e-mail alert;
2. Go to browser, find thread, read latest post(s) to see if of interest.

2 steps seems manageable, but when one is busy and has multiple such threads, it rapidly becomes a never-a-quiet-moment PITA.

It would be *so* handy if a summary of recent posts - usernames and first couple lines of the post - could be *included* in the e-mail alert. Does the forum software support such an option?

A similar option for PMs would be useful, as well.

That just shows all such threads - if I switch to regularly checking that, it again just shows me which have new stuff, nothing about the who/what of the new posts. More clicking.
