An interesting suggestion, including the porn angle. I had not thought it through that way, but Whoop-de-Do! of course that is it. I am on cable, with indecent bandwidth. When I can connect to a speed site I get decent numbers. The bandwidth is aimed at streaming, which we haven't really dug into, since we gave our (too large for our new apartment TV to a friend on the wait staff at our habitual eat out spot, "Mayan Palace" Mexican restaurant. I have not missed it that much, except for Anthropology, Nature, and Universe kind of shows.
Dan get his fixes, to some extent on the Web: Bill Maher, etc.
I guess that streaming might work pretty well, if you can get connected. I am still not well acquainted with the whole system.

You'll find plenty of sources to tell you about the advantages of legal streaming.
Disadvantages include the serious breach of privacy, advertisements, and possible
deterioration depending on other traffic or network faults.
We still prefer to buy DVDs.
