What type of manual testing are you seeking to do? We do a bunch of different types of testing here.

If you want to manually test a specific exponent to see if it is a Mersenne Prime, first go check its status here: https://www.mersenne.org/report_exponent/
If you see it is currently assigned, let who ever is testing it finish it. If it has a known factor, it is not prime. If it has 1 successful LL or PRP test, I would not worry about retesting it.

If you have a number that hasn't been tested, doesn't have a known factor, and isn't currently assigned; then do this:
Install Prime95 (or mprime for non-Windows systems).
Start the program, on the menu click advanced, then test, put the exponent that you want to test in and hit OK.

If you manually want to do other kinds of tests (like trial factoring or P-1 factoring or ECM or ....) mention what you are looking to do and what type of system/hardware you are hoping to use and we can advise you better.

I sent manual assignment in https://www.mersenne.org/manual_assignment/, but i received notification look like here:

Factor=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,201397241,72,73
Factor=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,201397379,72,73
Factor=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,201397381,72,73
Factor=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,201397619,72,73
Factor=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,201397901,72,73
Distribute the lines above to your computer's worktodo.txt files. A typical version 25 and later Prime95 worktodo.txt file on a dual core computer looks like this:

EXAMPLE ONLY
[Worker #1]
Test=A5996856A4F73D28634EFA6CB510066F,exponent,68,1
[Worker #2]
DoubleCheck=B94D34BF558295F697581568AD2E14AF,exponent,66,1
For CudaLUCAS, gpuOwL, Glucas, and Mlucas follow the documentation that comes with those programs

what should I do? where is "worktodo.txt file"?Thank.

OK... First of all, what type of GPU do you have? An NVidia card, or a AMD card?

As it says on the GPU72 home page, this thread is for the former, while this thread is for the latter.

Welcome to the hunt.

NOTE: this was in response to post #3 above. Posts 4 & 5 were merged in from a different thread.
Where did you install Prime95 or your other testing software? Go to that folder and if there is a worktodo.txt, put those lines in there. If there isn't one, but you see the all of the other files for the program, make a new worktodo.txt and put those lines in there. Then run the software.

You only need to have 1 copy of Prime95 running on most machines. That one copy can run more than one test at the same time. You asked about running manual assignments. That is not generally a thing for a beginner, but your question here is a beginner question. You have posted questions in 3 different places. I am going to combine them into a single thread.

Red face Manual Testing

Sorry to ask, I have just joined and I'm running 4LL Assignments. I added a manual test PRP test by cutting and pasting the required info to .txt, but nothing is happening. I added another thinking I'd made a mistake but I've had same outcome. Please help. I'm a Luddite, so simple instructions will help.
