There's a fault in the list of composite factors, at about 19 digits. So the worker to factor 19-69 digit numbers isn't working.
I'm running a script to factor them to stop too many building up, but it's a bit slow so they may take some time to clear. Chris |

See https://mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=10761, 2^16389+67607 have been certified as definitely prime, but see http://factordb.com/index.php?id=1100000000537223829, it is still "PRP" in factordb, can someone update the certificateof this prime?

I found that FDB recognized some numbers of this form
Code:
(long expression)^2-1 While you can easily fix this by reporting a factor or asking to check a base, at least one of such numbers was "proven" prime with N+1, making impossible to fix it. |

I can't access FactorDB if I enter http://factordb.com/ in my address bar (it takes me to a domain search page), but it works fine if I type in http://www.factordb.com/. Why is that? Normally it doesn't matter if I type the "www." or not.

Both work for me (I've just clicked both links). And they are the same IP address:
Code:
chris@rigel:~/bin$ host factordb.com factordb.com has address 116.203.33.155 factordb.com mail is handled by 100 mxlb.ispgateway.de. chris@rigel:~/bin$ host www.factordb.com www.factordb.com has address 116.203.33.155 www.factordb.com mail is handled by 100 mxlb.ispgateway.de. |

Markus replied that he had reset those 4 numbers. And everything looks to be working OK now.

As a domain owner, this depends how you install your own servers, what you do with DNS and WEB stuff. One may have a web server as a separate machine or not, and wanted to show it to the world as being so, or not. At the end, it is the DNS who converts the address you type into a number "the net" can find (the IP address). You can try whois or nslookup other online tools to see what's the response for bot of them.
It is not the case here. In this case, both links point to the same IP (116.203.33.155) (and yes, I also verified clicking on them and they take me to the right page). If for you it happens differently, then your service provider is sh!t, or your own DNS in browser is set wrong, or you have some virus which redirects your links (which usually looks for a string starting with www and replaces it with his own list of "nice sites", like porn, ads, whatever). This is not a joke, there are many viruses doing this. Try changing the DNS (right click on the network icon, open network sharing center, click on your connection, proerties, TCPIP v4, properties), or if you use local DNS server, update it. One good choice is to use Google's (8.8.8.8) Last fiddled with by LaurV on 2020-02-22 at 18:25 |

Now I'm getting this:
Code:
502 Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request Reason: Error reading from remote server EDIT: Now it's giving me this: Code:
Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. EDIT2: It's back up now!
