In page http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/cru...e-reserves.htm, S81 k=2036 should be shown "reserved by BOINC to n=2.5M", since for S81, k=2036 testing is the same as base 9 for the same k-value (like R36 k=9582 is shown "reserved by masser", since for R36, k=9582 testing is the same as base 6 k=1597).

FYI, I have about two months of testing left for the first batch of R66 results. Those results will cover a little less than one-sixth of the k that remain.

R61 completed to n=600000 and released. No primes found. Now to get all of my resources focused on R66.

I have submitted my first batch of primes for R66.
k=17577382 and below are tested to n=25000. Primes submitted for that range and released. k=99461099 and above are tested to n=25000. Primes submitted for that range and released. The attached has a file of "other primes" that I think were submitted. I just didn't want them to get lost. What I have submitted covers about 20% of the range. I am continuing to work on the remaining k. Some of the other sub-ranges are done, but they are in the "middle" and I didn't want to create more work for Gary. I estimate that the next big drop of primes will be the end of May and it should be much larger than this one now that all of my cores are focused on it. |

1. Many of the k's with primes for n=10K-11K were not removed. You are doing a lot of extra work! I attached all of the primes for n=10K-11K to post 1631. Did you get that? Please check this for future submissions. After removing the duplicates shown in #2 below here are the stats: (a) 107 primed k's for n=11K-25K already had primes for n=10K-11K for k<17.578M. (b) 15 primed k's for n=11K-25K already had primes for n=10K-11K for k>99.461M. 2. There are exact duplicate primes in the files. The first such example is 4214435*66^11495-1 in file primes_02.log. 3. There are primes for n>25K in the files. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them. I will choose to ignore them. Here they are: 15331339*66^25016-1 8964534*66^25017-1 12633434*66^25021-1 1001517*66^25025-1 This is a lot of extra work for me. Please clean the files up before future submissions. Thanks. The next posting will do a balancing of k's remaining by k-range. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2020-03-31 at 23:51 |

As for the duplicates, that is possible. There were times that pfgw was stopped abnormally, but when restarted had an invalid ini file. It is likely that caused the problem as it didn't restart in the correct place. I have never been able to track down the cause of that issue to get it resolved. I'll check the future ranges for duplicates before I sent them. I will grab the primes you mentioned to remove those k from testing, but it is likely that I already tested some of them. I'll endeavor to remove those k from future submissions. |
