Couple of more observations Re OTR:
* A very common phrase which seems to be out of current use:
"What goes on here?"

* There was some significance to replying a goodnight by a goodbye

You can see both cases used in the first few episodes of Whistler available on demand below.

Be prepared to be hooked on the series. It's much more entertaining than reality TV and make excellent bedtime stories for adults.
