Thumbs up 64 Bit version of prime95

http://hogranch.com/pipermail/prime/...ch/000580.html

Is this going to be an official release when done?

Will there be Beta testers?

If so, I have an Athlon 64 3400+ 512k L2 overclocked to 2.52ghz with the 1433 WinXP 64 installed.

Yes, there will be beta testers and an official release (of both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions). I'm still tracking down some bugs.

I've since played with prefetchw on the AthlonXP and could not use it profitably. This is probably because pass2 using the x87 instructions fit in 64KB already, whereas the SSE2 code did not.

i hope it'll be released soon since i've a bounch of 64bit machines (xeon and opteron) doing factoring (currently ~2-3 p90 fact years per day, when berkeley finally closes "seti@home classic" i'll move more machines to gimps...)

any idea when the new version(s) will be released?

No, Prime95 doesn't use C code for the calculations.

two questions:

- can somebody give me a compiled object file for factor64.asm?
