For a year or so all was good, but ultimately things are becoming worse.
I have been impolitely reprimanded for posting links without text. Only this forum behaves like that, every other forum in the world accepts nude links without pain. |

In other words, it is polite to conform with the behaviour regarded as acceptable inthe society where you are participating. In this forum naked links are regarded as impolite. That is why you have been reprimanded. |

You can spend your whole life trying to explain why nude links are impolite, without success. The <rule> you are defending is a *bad* rule and I will make it a battle to change it. Last fiddled with by SELROC on 2019-07-31 at 11:28 |

reprimanded...impolitely. So you are arguing that nude links are impolite but you act the same way, from my point of view you are not in a position to moderate because of your behavior. |

Doing as Romans in Rome it isn't exactly what american tourists do: "Rome police officer allegedly killed by US students was unarmed" https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jul/30/rome-police-officer-allegedly-killed-by-us-students-was-unarmed |

If you won't follow the politeness request, maybe a pragmatic one? People that tend to hang out on this forum are more aware of computer security issues than the average person. Therefore very few people are likely to have clicked on your link(s), especially if they took the trouble to hover over it for a second (dear lord, look at that thing). If you want to share something with people, wouldn't a sentence or two help toward that end? |

this time I have unbeautified the link it should be visible entirely and it should not be clickable. You are talking to a computer security professional so your point is misplaced. Just for the links look at this deluge of replies. Oh, when I warned the forum about doing an upgrade to vbulletin software, they ignored it, so the fact at hand is that people is on average security negligent. |
