Default P95 crashing before test begins

I have downloaded the correct and most recent version of P95 for my system, but the application crashes whenever I try to open it. I double click the program icon (saved to my desktop), and I get a notification that the application has stopped working. I have tried downloading a duplicate copy of the program with the same results. Does anyone have any insight or suggestions on this matter?

1) Has it been a while since you rebooted? I don't expect it will likely help, but it might.

2) Instead of running the program from your desktop, you may want to try running from another folder, either a folder on your desktop, or maybe your 'documents' or 'downloads' folders.

3) Assuming you are trying to run on a version of Microsoft Windows, do you have access to the event viewer (usually found from control panel -> administrative tools)? If so, do any errors around the program crash date/time give any additional details under the 'application' or 'system' logs?

What "P95" did you download? The version number? What is your "system"? Is it a 64 bit operating system or is a 32 bit operating system running on a 64 bit machine? Which version of Windows are you running? Did you unzip the download?

When was the last time it was dusted?
What is the cooling system on the machine.
