Has the feature been removed? Or am I just going mad and the button isn't where I'm looking for it?

Generally you get one hour to edit, unless you select a different display colour for your username.

It used to be possible to have brown but the option was removed.

A psychedelic set if colours sounds like it would be quite distracting from the real content, so therefore it is a good thing.
