I received a batch of DC TF assignments in the 42M range today. Did something get out of whack? I remember this happened a couple of times before.

There is a constant 1,000 TF candidates at 76 bits on the 90M level. For the life of me I can't figure how to get any assigned to me.
![]() Edit: Never mind, I got it working now. Edit2: Nope, it gives me something other than what it states. Last fiddled with by RichD on 2019-01-11 at 22:03 |

You should be able to get them, if you choose the correct parameters, and are motivated.... |

As usual, reality is a little bit more complicated than that...
"Optimal" is a little different than "achievable". Please let me know if your requests have not been satisfied. I see no attempts by you requesting work to 77 bits. |

Hey all. I finally had a few cycles to update all the various reports for our new "To 77 bits" optimal TF'ing target...
This includes the Workers' LL Trial Factoring Progress sorted by Factored to more than 76 bits for the last Week et all reports, the Overall System Progress Reports (with the new "Release Depth" linear regression trend), and the Current TF Depth and Estimated Completion reports. Please let me know if anyone sees anything strange, or if I've missed a report. Also, while I'm posting... For those willing, please consider updating your MISFIT et al automatic fetching software's "Pledge" settings to 77 instead of 76 "bits". "What Makes Sense" et al won't automatically bump up the Pledge level, for historical reasons; only "Let GPU72 Decide" will. |

Towards that goal, could I please ask those who are currently LLTF'ing to lower levels (read: 73 or 74 "bits") to consider doing a bit of DCTF'ing for a while? It should only take a few months to clear out 58M and 59M to 74. Note that this is still "economically optimal" for any nVidia GPU in the GTX 10xx class or better. Once this is done we can consider doing 57M and possibly 56M. Then DCTF should be done for good (unless and until, of course, 20xx GPUs become a larger percentage of the "fleet"; damn those beasts are good at TF'ing!). Entirely up to each individual participant, of course. It's your kit / time / electrons / money. Do whatever rocks your world....
