So I'm running a few USB sticks that I shuffle around spare available machines, and for testing, I have FixedHardwareUID=1 set in prime.txt, and it randomly doesn't work.
I'll move the stick to a new machine, sometimes it'll be fine, other times I'll get a hardware mismatch. Does it have to go in a specific spot in prime.txt? |

So I had a config file that looked like this on a USB drive:
It's one that bounces between windows and linux. (the same thing happens on windows only thumbdrives and linux only thumbdrives though) Code:
V24OptionsConverted=1 WGUID_version=2 StressTester=0 UsePrimenet=1 DialUp=0 V5UserID=irowiki Priority=1 DaysOfWork=10 RunOnBattery=1 WorkPreference=150 FixedHardwareUID=1 [PrimeNet] Debug=0 ProxyHost= [Worker #1] Moved it to another computer and this happened: Quote:
Now my prime.txt looks like this: Code:
V24OptionsConverted=1 WGUID_version=2 StressTester=0 UsePrimenet=1 DialUp=0 V5UserID=irowiki Priority=1 DaysOfWork=10 RunOnBattery=1 WorkPreference=150 FixedHardwareUID=1 WindowsGUID=767df440e626bc8a7940d39fe32641ff HardwareGUID=855b7cd958526c363d225bff1e8e90b5 Left=225 Top=225 Right=1185 Bottom=943 W1=0 0 942 319 0 -1 -1 -1 -1 W2=0 319 942 639 0 -1 -1 -1 -1 [PrimeNet] Debug=0 ProxyHost= [Worker #1] Last fiddled with by irowiki on 2018-11-02 at 06:24 |

I moved it to another computer after deleting the hardware/windows GUID and it did it again!

I may have a fix in 29.5 build 8 (not out yet). Please try when that version comes out.
