"Quit GIMPS"

Or

Manual Communication > Contact Primenet server automatically > N

MaxExponents=1 in prime.txt it will always finish the current exponent before getting another.

Thank you.

The notion of current exponent becomes soft when running multiple workers.

Ok, it should get 1 exponent per worker then.

All solutions are equivalent, they do exactly the same thing, the "quit gimps" will ask you if you want to finish the current exponent before quitting, and if you say "yes", what will do is add the nomorework=1 in the ini file, the effect being the same as you add the line yourself, i.e. there will be no more work requested from the server. You can resume any time and request new work, or add work manually in the worktodo file with or without changing the nomorework to 0. The name is a bit misplaced, and confusing for newcomers, but this is not "quitting" (like deleting your user, or deleting P95, or some "destructive" sh!t, is is just that P95 will finish the current work (or not), but then will not request any more work until instructed otherwise.

Quit GIMPS is a bit scary, it sounds like it will delete my computer from the primenet database.
