I'm starting this thread to get a discussion going on what it is that makes being on a team fun, and how to help make a team successful. It would be great to hear from people who are already members of teams why they joined and what they see as advanages of being a team member. This would also help exsisting teams to figure out how to recruit new members, and also people who aren't members of teams may find a reason to join a team.
Also, any advice from team leaders on what they do to recruit members would be superb. |

I became part of a team mostly because there is great satisfaction in helping to build something that is greater than the sum of its parts. My personal life has been givin' me the worst turn if'n ever ya did see, and as such, I haven't been as active as I would like in the community and the team I am in(GO US!!!) but when I do stop by I know that there are people who will fill me in on the latest news and offer me a brew that they know for sure they won't have to pay up on :(.
Other than that, Have fun. |

with the advent of the happy dancing banana seen in the following
I will now be posting more often. There are things that a team can do in order to attract members, and the most important one is to keep the members interested and active. Not just in the crunching, but in suggestions, stats, functions online and offline. On TPR, outlnder and I have done some stuff to help eachother, i know we have some cannuckle-heads that have been together for brewskis and the like. Outside of the crunch. And Many of us have all called Xyzzy on the phone to bitch about how we like/hate what he is doing(guilty as charged) But those thinks change members from just being TEXT characters into real human beings. <--- love this guy
