John McCain was a great American, even though he was not actually born there. To those who cite the one single non-execrable thing he was noted for, being anti-torture after his brutal imprisonment by the North Vietnamese (whose people he had, in all fairness, done his own fair share of 'torturing' from the air), I would remind that in 2006 McCain cut a deal with the Bush administration which helped it keep its Geneva-Conventions-pissing-on torture facility at Guantanamo Bay operating.
