I know that CUDALucas creates a checkpoint file when the computations are interrupted, so that they may be resumed from there later on. However, instead of one checkpoint file, I get two:
cM***, and tM***, where *** denotes the prime Mersenne exponent. Unfortunately, these files are not documented in the README of CUDALucas. What do they store? |

They store the partial residue (checkpoint file) and its backup, so you can resume a test when your electricity fails, even if that happened during the program was writing the checkpoint file (i.e. destroying it).

Thank you! The "c" prefix was obvious, but I didn't understand the "t"...

And there are conditions where both the c file and the t file might be bad. For that, if you have already enabled periodic savefiles in a subfolder, there may be a chance to continue from an earlier file which may be good. Otherwise start over.
