+1. Who needs video circuitry in a GPU?

The "pixel pushers" do. They use them for video editing, rendering, converting video formats, etc. All these require both lots of Cuda power and extensive video circuitry. This is the forte of the Quadro line of Nvidia products. In fact, I seem to remember there was one model of a Quadro board that had an option of adding a rather large, expensive daughter board to beef up the video even more. It was a Quadro K6000.

I've been watching the price of the cheapest 1070's and they've gone down in the last month.
Roughly $800 to about $1300 for 'available' 1070ti cards just now on NewEgg. Is that in line with what you see? There is a small cluster just under $800.

I haven't been looking at 1070 Ti's, and I'm also looking at Canadian pricing for the 1070's. In early December, right when Ethereum starting going up, I could walk into a store and buy a GTX 1070 for CA$550 or about US$435. The same retailer is now selling GTX 1070's for CA$600 (US$475) but there is no inventory. The prices were higher in January. Used GTX 1070's are going for $700 to $750, or $550 to $600 US.

We received an email from Nvidia today that said that they had a few 1080 Ti cards in stock. Amazingly, we were able to order one before they sold out!
