Overall, people seem remarkably optimistic that the surfeit of primes in the current sub-100M range will continue. On average we can expect the exponent of the next Mersenne prime to be about 1.47576 times larger than the previous one. But there have also been cases like 521/127 = 4.10 and 756839/216091 = 3.50 |

And this does not count against your 3 guesses or the 60 day wait. Guess another known composite and it will. |

Fine, go ahead and do that. But, it is composite. It has a known factor. I will leave it to the reader to figure this out.
See rule 4 Because this is the second known composite guessed in this thread, it will count as one of your 3. If you guess 2 more, you will have to wait 60 days to guess a third. Last fiddled with by Uncwilly on 2018-01-02 at 06:20 Reason: rule 4 |

Could you double check please. Sagemath returns "123456791" as being a prime, and Prime95 is currently running on my machine with this number. Thanks, regards |

... And no it is not composite. It is a prime, according to java script divisor calculator as well, calculator script, and some other prime decomposition calculator. I have reason to believe it is prime, but f not, what are it’s factors? Ooohhhhhh...... you mean 2^1233333331 - 1 is composite..... ahhh k Last fiddled with by George M on 2018-01-02 at 07:27 |
