Hi I recently joined a team and I was wondering if it is possible to transfer my exponents and computing time to the new team. If so how?
Thanks, jeff8765 |

first, go to http://www.mersenne.org/ips/manualtests.html
near the bottom, there's section for managing your account in (1) select Merge Account and Transfer Credit in (2) put in the user ID and password for your old team in (3) put in the user ID and password for your team then click send account info, and everything should be transfered to your new account |

I just did that, but my old account still has the CPU years and reserved exponents. When I manualy contacted the server after I had changed accounts it got rid of all exponents that were scheduled for my to do work on except for the one I am working on right now. Whenever I try to send a new completion date for the computer I am working on it says that the exponent is not assigned to my computer.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what's going wrong then. I can think of a few things that may be causing problems. First of all, did you remember to restart prime95 after you transfered accounts? It won't pick up those new settings until you do. Maybe the server just takes some time to transfer accounts, but i doubt it. If you can't find a solution, just e-mail George and i'm pretty sure he'd manually transfer your account if the online method isn't working out.

I restarted prime95 and the team still did not get credit for my old work. I will e-mail George if it does not transfer in the next couple of days.
Thanks for the help, jeff8765 |

I just transferred an account last night and all I had to do was change my info in the user dialog box in Prime95...
If your account is set up as a team you have to email Brad for help... His email address is primenet@entropia.com I think... |

Thanks, I had registered my account as I team because I thought that that was the only way to have more than one computer on an account. I have e-mailed him asking for help.

Does anyone know who I should contact to get my credits transferred now? I tried the address specified above (primenet@entropia.com)
but got a delivery failure. |
