Default GTX 1070 Ti

It seems the 1070 Ti will have 95% of the 1080 hardware enabled, and share the same 1607 MHz base and 1683 MHz boost frequencies (but the frequencies will be locked to avoid eating 1080 sales).

This card should give 930.5 GHz-days/day doing TF. They say it should retail for $100 less than the 1080, so even if it uses the same watts and can't be overclocked, it should still be a compelling card for TF.

It should feature the same GDDR5 as in the 1070.

I was sort of expecting them to come out with something beyond the 1080 series which still operated below 200W.

This would mean that NVIDIA is giving away their GTX 1080 performance for a $100 US less which doesn’t make much sense.
There must be other differences.

I saw a listing for a GTX 1080 on Amazon for $499. The clock speeds didn't seem to match most of the others.

The 1080 has GDDR5x memory running at an effective rate of 2000mhz faster,
it has 128 more cuda cores, and, um, well that's all I can see.
