Consider who the red-colored users of this forum are, and ask yourself what you personally offer those people in knowledge or usefulness. If only red people were having a private conversation, what could you contribute to it?

Ask not what your forum can do for you, ask what you can do for your forum.

p.s. Factoring a GNFS-170 takes less than 3 months on a single home machine. That's not very long to wait!

I'll spell it out for you - it is a firefighter's room. There are some dirty firehoses in it, some access to the back panels of the building, some crawl space, some buckets and snake handling tongues and other bric-a-brac.

The ultra-simple answer is that one has to be a ~~moderator~~ oops, SUPERMOD to get there. This is a choice made by the forum owner, Xyzzy, aka Mike.

BTW, the repeated references to money in this context reflect a basic misunderstanding. The price of admission is not counted in dollars, but in hours of work as a moderator, in addition to demonstrating the qualifications for moderatorhood.

Can't you at least give me READ-ONLY access to that section, so I can't post there, but I could still read it? I don't want to be a mod, and I don't think I would ever qualify to be one. I still want to be unblocked from it, though, because it bothers me to be kept from a forum section. There are a few sites I know of that allow ordinary members to access the mod section in read-only mode.

@retina: I didn't mean 36 Indian Rupees. I meant R*36¹+S (27*36+28)=$1000. It's base-36 (hexatrigesimal).

I do see that there's another private forum: "Anna Kournikova". Is that an empty section to confuse me even more, or an alternate link to the DH section?
