Prime95 v29.2 multi-task question

Does Prime95 yield to other active processes on the computer? For example I want to do the Small FFT stress test and simultaneously run the AIDA64 stress tests on the CPU at the same time, but as soon as the AIDA64 tests begin Prime95's CPU usage drops to basically 0% and my CPU cools down...

Is there a way to prevent Prime95 from yielding to other processes? A command line parameter or configuration file setting? As is I can see why people say to run it over night/when the computer is unlikely to be used.

Go to (menu) Test>Worker Windows...
There is a Priority setting. The included warning concerns running actual tests, but may be just the ticket in your situation.

EDIT: Yes, P95 does generally yield to other programs.

Yes, thank you. Increasing the priority stops it from yielding. I assume a value of 7 is equal to Normal Priority, 9 = High Priority and 10 = Real Time Priority. I tested a value of 9 and it basically renders the computer almost unusable (very long time for things to react to my input) while a value of 7 keeps things multi-tasking friendly while keeping Prime95 from yielding 100% of its CPU resources to other programs.

With a value of 7 Prime95 doesn't yield enough resources for AIDA64 to do its thing (it yields around 10% of CPU time to AIDA64) and AIDA64 ends up preventing Prime95 from fully stressing the hardware. There doesn't seem to be a way to combine the stressing of both tests without them significantly lessening the impact of each other. Out of the 2, Prime95 is by far the more stressing.

The value of 7 and 9 is taken from the UI recommending those values. I only assume 7 and 9 are Normal and High priority because it makes sense to me.

7 Normal Priority
8 Above Normal Priority
9 High Priority
10 Real Time Priority
