It appears since 28.9 I can no longer merge all workers to a single window. The option si grey out. Is this as intended?

With 28.7 I can but not 28.9, 28.10 and 29.2

I have that problem too. My workaround is to edit prime.txt and change the value as follows: "MergeWindows=7". Make sure the client is closed (not minimised) before you do that.

It seems the HWloc library is not included, building this library from source fixes the problem.

So the 29.2 is considered the "stable" version or is still in "testing" stage?

It seems to be safe to install. I'm looking at one bug report from an AMD user.

By the by, I setup a test "download" page with all the 29.2 info on there, ready to push live when ready.

Anyone running Prime95 29.2 with 4 or more cores working on a single exponent?

Could you try to run another single core process using a 100% of a single core and see how much the iteration times drop in 29.2 ? and see if Prime95 is using 100% of the remaining number of cores?

I just want to see if anyone else experiences the problems I talked about in post #26-#32 or if it is just my processor. I have not done further testing since then, I went back to 28.9b2.

I half expected to see a reference to addition of the Jacobi check in the what's new for 29.1 or 29.2. What's there is good.

The option is only available (meaningful) if number of worker windows (in Test/Workers Windows) is set to more than one.

With 28.9 the default install sets number of workers to 1. If you change the default to run more workers, then the option should become available again.
