These numbers may seem high now, but when exponents become so large that they require factoring to 80 bits, and beyond, something like this will be essential to go that distance. The down side is that the group of members able to factor, test, and check, very large exponents in the future will drop considerably.

Okay, I see it now. Yesterday (Wednesday) was a very long day. Really tired when I got back here after midnight. My eyes do not function very well sometimes. I "googled" it and, of course, the negative one came up at the top of the page.

What I should have written is that hardware such as the Titan XP are way beyond the means of many users, including myself. Of course, costs drop as time passes and specific models are replaced with newer versions.

I'm running a GTX-750 Ti at roughly 70% of capacity, and I have a GTX-480 sealed in a box under my bed. I'm not complaining though. I found the GTX-480 on eBay for $40. I couldn't let that go. I don't quite have enough PSU for the 750. Still, it runs without errors. In time, I will correct all of this.
