Hi.I have problem with Prime95 program (version is 28.9).After about 1 hour to 2 hours Prime95 crash and I see windows alert "PRIME95 Application has stopped working" or I see then error on random one of processor core "FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4965515137, expected less than 0.4" and "Hardware Failure detected".I'm not sure is my CPU is damaged because my CPU in LInX v0.6.4, OCCT, Intel Burn Test work 100 % stable, only on Prime95 is not stable. It's very strange because on Prime95 v27.9 my CPU work perfectly.I tested my processor by using Blend Test and here is problem, but on Small FFT test it's ok, off course I write here about version 28.9, on version 27.9 it's ok.Beacuse Blend Test load too much RAM memory I supposed that RAM is unstable, but later I tested RAM by Memtest86, HCI Memtetst, Goldmemory, Windows Diagnostic Tool and I did not get any errors and computer was not freeze then so I think that is not RAM issue.Maybe integrated memory controller in CPU is damaged ? But LinX v0.64, OCCT and Intel Burn Test load RAM memory too much and I did not get any errors then so I suppose that I'm not right I don't know.So what should I do with this problem ? I have loaded default settings in BIOS.CPU, RAM and all others devices work on default stock clocks and voltages so they should be stable. What can I do ? CPU is 100 % stable on pc games like Crysis 3, Battlefield 4 or Doom 2016 wchich load CPU very highly and I have not any BSODs or random restarts ? I don't understand what is wrong with this.HELP.

You are going to expect some error when you try to stress test your computer.
Oh, did you read the stress.txt? Especially its FAQs. https://www.mersenne.org/download/stress.txt |

I suppose that it can be any software bug in version 28.9, because I downloaded yesterday late at night newer version 28.10.Then, I tried stress my PC with v28.10 and I did not get any crash, errors and warnings same like on v27.9 and v27.7.Besides I suppose that I'm right, because I was reading some about it on this thread on this forum, link below.
http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=21159 Maybe I'm right ? What do you think about it ? There on this thread from link above it was written that a lot of bugs, too some crashs in v28.9 was fixed in v28.10.I suppose from here that I'm right, but I'm not sure. Oh yes ! I mean that, exactly. So Am I right ? I wrote about these things in my second post on this thread.I have yet question to user Prime95 on this forum.I saw yesterday late at night on this thread "http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=21159" , that You have already version 29.1 of Prime95.I found and downloaded it yesterday late at night from that thread. My question - will it work properly on my old AMD Phenom II X6 1055T ? I ask because I'm interesting what is it improve version 29.1 for Prime95.Is version 29.1 has not any bugs like these in version 28.9 ? Regards Mark.

29.1 is less tested than 28.10. It should be no faster except for trial factoring.

I mean does version 29.1 can be some bugs like v28.9, for example crashes, random restarts, bsods, black screens, freezes, warnings or errors ? I would not be stressed that one of devices of my computer don't work properly or/and unstable.
edit: I downloaded already v28.10 of Prime95 and I tested stability of my computer by v28.10 of Prime95.It look that it work properly and stable. No crashes, no errors, no warnings, no bsods, no random restarts, no freezes, no black screens. Last fiddled with by MaroX on 2017-02-25 at 23:25 |
