What I didn't make clear in the last message, that was kind of the point, was that the desktop is running Fedora natively. So there doesn't seem to be an appreciable time penalty for running inside VirtualBox on a recent Intel machine.

Thank you both. I think that'll be my next project, though I'm not ready to make reservations now (crazy work schedule for awhile).

I have set my machine back to certificate work. I've taken a chunk from 300dd and up. If you are working in that area, let me know and I'll hold off on uploading.

Good news and bad news:
The good news: as of the time of this posting, there are only 3,886 PRPs under 3000dd in the database. The bad news: Certifying these 3,886 numbers will give the equivalent score of a single 19,320dd certificate. My estimate is that it will take at least 3 months to complete them all. If anybody is working anywhere, please let me know. I could use some help cleaning up the sub-2000dd range as new ones are introduced into the database. |

I had actually given up on trying to clear the sub-3000 area because the PRPs were being added faster than I could clear them. I might have to put an oar back in the water on this. I'll see what I've got lined up for my machine. |

I can come play for a while. What range would you like me to work? Should I just grab what shows up as default or is there a better area?
For now, I'll grab 100 at 1300 and see what happens... Last fiddled with by EdH on 2017-02-14 at 03:47 |

Unless someone tells me to, "stop it!" I'll do another 100 starting at 1300...

Well, I guess I messed up a bit. I don't see any at 13xx, so I probably did some above 2xxx. I see, if I'm looking in the right place now, that there are a few hundred at 9xx. I will not do any more until I find out where others are and what area they would like me to cover...

Oops, I made a slight miscalculation in my estimate for how long it would take to finish what is currently under 3000dd. It's more like 1-1.5 months. I hope.
![]() I've just submitted the latest batch of certificates so with you folks joining in I'll work solely from 2500-3000dd (roughly 1500 numbers). 64% of the effort lies above 2500dd, so that is plenty for my machine to chew on for 2-3 weeks. I'll take it in batches of 500. |

Let me know here if I'm infringing on someone else's work area and I'll hold back my submissions. |

A rather high percentage of these are coming back as composite. The ones I've then tested with yafu are being verified as composite by yafu. Is this normal, or part of the prime/composite troubles in another thread?
