Make .npg great again!

If its no hard work for the admins please add NPG as allowed extension.

Oh, and pls make the file size limit a big greater. (2048 KB for examble)

What malicious software cannot be packed in txt extension, rather then npg extension? Or in reverse order... Security is not reason here. Packing files and saving bandwidth when other pays: that is another story from extension story

My point about security was that it is good practice not to allow too many extensions (having a limited list of permitted extensions) rather than allowing any extension except those that are on an exclusion list. I do not dispute the fact that text and npg (or whatever) files can not be executed as such and thus do not pose a direct problem at the moment.

All in all, little used extensions can be modified by using a standard compression format, making it unnecessary to modify the forum settings. Of course some OS's do not rely on extensions.

The extension really shouldn't matter, but there is a possibility the forum software is saving the file with the same extension in a web-accessible directory. That makes uploading .php files, for instance, problematic.

The forum software changes the name (and extension) of the file when it saves it.
