Unfortunately, there is no known k such that k*2017^k+1 is prime (see http://harvey563.tripod.com/GClist.txt), but the prime 1998*2017^2017+1 is very good!

Found the prime (180-1)*180^2484+1.

Reserve (202-1)*202^n+1 and (257-1)*257^n+1.

R2017 is complete to 2500, 20% complete to 5000. Around 850 k's left. I think it would be fun to hand this around a bit, like 7-10 days per person and then handing the files on to the next party. Perhaps someone would like the k's list when I reach 5000.

(really, I won't keep interest in this solo for very long- what New Years resolution lasts, anyway?)

If you are hunter of big prime, you may try to find one or two on this bases: if you are not, then you lost interest very soon :)

I am definitely NOT hunting for top-5000 primes on base 2017!

One core of my laptop took 10 days to reach 5000, with exactly 750 k's remaining.

A single core of desktop is approaching 6000 now, with 50 more primes found.
