Intel Xeon E5 with Arria 10 FPGA on-package

I'm very curious how this will play out in optimizing various tasks for computing platforms.
As well as the announcement/introduction of the Intel Deep Learning Inference Accelerator (DLIA) with an Arria 10 FPGA.

I'll be curious to see the specs on the included FPGA. They have supposedly been shipping samples to their primo customers for several months. The big thing that makes this attractive is that it will be attached to the processor cores via QPI so it will have access to the Xeon's caches. This is probably another symptom of the current obsession with "deep learning".
