Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me with this:
I'd like to limit the range of exponents for the LL test on one of my CPUs to the 40-50mil range, and keep the 70-80mil range for the other CPU. It is possible to set anywhere in my account or the clients on the given PCs? Thank you |

That file should have a line in it that says something like: Code:
WorkPreference=0 You could change it to 100 if you want to do first-time LL tests in the 70M range, or change it to 101 if you want to do double-checking LL tests in the 40M range. Normally, the WorkPreference line (and all other lines) apply globally to all the CPUs on your machine. However, at the bottom of the prime.txt file, you probably have lines that look like: Code:
[Worker #1] [Worker #2] Code:
[Worker #1] WorkPreference=100 [Worker #2] WorkPreference=101 Note: the above assumes only two cores. If each of your CPUs has multiple cores then you will need to modify it. Your local.txt file will presumably have lines similar to: Code:
WorkerThreads=2 ThreadsPerTest=1 |
