U.S. Cyclists Fight to Spread Their Message: We’re Clean - The New York Times
Given the long history of doping in cycling, I can't help thinking of the Applegate Farms 'Mooscles' ad series while reading this. Does that make me cynical? |

Can't remember how many hours I've lost watching live Tour de France whilst on my university exam season, I'm now back to seeing it on my sick leave. I don't know the riders anymore, I've seen all Indurain wins up to Lance "ones".

The Classic - Cycle Oregon
Have a similar-age (early 50s) college friend who lives/works in Portland and is training hard for this. Cost is actually pretty reasonable, should you ever be tempted to make a cycling trip to OR part of your summer vacation. Averaging nearly a vertical mile per day - yowza. Not Tdf-mountain-stages-yowza, but still. The 34-mile vertical-sawtooth loop around the rim of Crater Lake sounds amazing. |

Ha, if that would be real, somebody must give him a ticket or put him in the jail directly! He almost pushed a biker in front of the car coming from the other direction, two times, not mentioning the other adventures on the road, like cutting roundabouts, etc. Fortunately, it is not real, it is directed, all the details are on youtube, they even are putting together different versions, like skateboard, rollers, segway, etc.
(edit: watch at minute 0:30, it is really funny, and he was bare feet, !)
