No no no. You just don't get it. You see if one claims enough numbers are prime then eventually they get lucky with a real prime, and then they are famous. Even if they never tested any of them it is a potential way to claim that they discovered the prime when it eventually comes up. So actually it is a good method: just keep claiming more and more of these as prime and then you'll get credit for the awesome find when it happens.

One would think the clever planners would have learned to at least do some decently deep TF on their laundry list by now. (But we appreciate the laziness/carelessness).

Well they don't need to. Plenty of people here seem willing to do that work for them. Leverage of other people's resources is all part of the clever plan.
