If 7.e4 then 7...d6 to prevent 8.e5 and prepare for a future e6 after re castle kingside.

I"ll take your word that my suggestion ..e6 doesn't win the d5 pawn, and go with the team as 7. e4 .. d6.

Most likly White 8th turn moves.
8.Be2 8.Bd3 8.Bc4 8.Nf3 |

Yes, plenty of choice for them at move 8.
We should also note, as I think WMH pointed out in the earlier thread, that they are not obliged to play 7.e4 either. That's a move that could be delayed in favour of something like 7.Nf3. So we could, perhaps, agree that if they play 7.e4 then we respond 7...d6 as we all agree. But if they play something else, we stop and discuss things further, Is that a good plan?
