I've extended HP10(596) a tad. Then YAFU bombed out and shutdown on the qsieve. Why does it do that with no explanation?

Can you post your error in yafu thread? I don't believe that BB is reading the home primes threads.

Does yafu have a "feature" that causes it to fail on certain large numbers?
(See my Lounge thread on 3^10000+2. I never got a resolution of my question.) Last fiddled with by davar55 on 2015-01-12 at 17:38 |

much slower calculator reported it composite. I have no idea if this will help the yafu people to locate their "feature". |

I've been looking into sequences in bases 3, 12 and 16. These are the terminations I have found. I only have links for sequences base 3 because FactorDB has not added home prime sequences for bases 12 and 16 (part of the reason I have been working on those bases).
HP3(1011), index 95, P102 HP3(1024), index 75, P78 HP3(1046), index 75, P84 HP3(1057), index 80, P77 HP3(1059), index 107, P110 HP3(1110), index 81, P81 HP3(1121), index 80, P77 HP3(1150), index 64, P72 HP3(1197), index 80, P86 HP12(184), index 54, P84 HP12(405), index 50, P83 HP12(528), index 43, P76 HP12(648), index 74, P127 HP12(896), index 59, P111 HP12(950), index 66, P109 HP12(990), index 66, P102 HP16(62), index 46, P92 HP16(155), index 43, P85 HP16(224), index 38, P85 HP16(276), index 42, P89 HP16(287), index 61, P132 HP16(315), index 49, P108 HP16(323), index 51, P109 HP16(330), index 55, P152 HP16(364), index 41, P95 HP16(406), index 36, P73 HP16(429), index 55, P124 HP16(470), index 43, P106 HP16(485), index 50, P105 HP16(496), index 38, P83 HP16(497), index 43, P100 Last fiddled with by Hailstone on 2015-02-09 at 16:32 |

Markus has included the bases 12 and 16 for Home Primes in FactorDB.
I've updated base 3 with 1000 < n <= 1200 and extended the last lines a bit. |
