You do realize that 7. e4 is not a forced move, they could easily play dxe. e6 can be played after we castle and played d6 yieldling a good position without having to deal with problems that may arise from transposing these moves.

Agreed, though I do think 7.e4 is a strong reply to 6...e6. I think they have a distinct edge as things stand now if they maintain a pawn at d5 with an open e file. My vote, assuming they move 6.Nc3, is currently for either of your own two suggestions 6...d6 or 6...g6. I would want to play both moves at some point, and obviously fianchetto the KB. |

But going out of the book with 6. Nc3 e6 7. e4 ed5 8. ed5 ..(Bb7) or 6. Nc3 e6 7. dxe .. fxe leaves them with nothing developed and us way ahead. Push on after a won gambit. No? |
