I'm getting an error when yafu wants to start lattice sieving

This is not new (see your first post) nor is it an error. It is YAFU's reaction to failing to find the 12e lattice siever. Check again that the "ggnfs_dir" line in the yafu.ini file correctly points to where this file is located.

Sorry for digging this post but i have similar problem. I've changed path to ggnfs in yafu.ini to correct and i sitill get error like this:

If you're using YAFU, you only need the sievers, not the matsolve, polysearch etc.


Ok, you're on Windows, If I where you I'd make 3 directories on your G:\ drive


G:\GMP-ECM\
G:\GGNFS\
G:\YAFU\


Put your ecm.exe in G:\GMP-ECM\
put the gnfs-lasieve4IXXe.exe executables in G:\GGNFS\ (with XX the different sievers, 11-16)

the yafu executable in G:\YAFU\



pointing then becomes much easier (delete all the other _dir and _path lines)

ggnfs_dir=G:\GGNFS\
ecm_path=G:\GMP-ECM\ecm.exe

With Victor's good advice you could also try a relative path:
ggnfs_dir=..\ggnfs

Also, try it with and without a trailing forward slash.

Thanks that is exactly what i needed in the ggnfs downloaded from sourceforge i doesn't have all sievers so there was an error.
