The night was humid and the whirring of fans sounded like an airplane holding on the taxi pathway.

Suddenly a large shadow appeared and obscured the light guiding the airborne insects to their targets. The humming noise ceased abruptly and several seconds of fear and tension ensued as the shadow loomed larger.

And then a monster jumped out, with long scary tentative tentacles.
The lasting effect of this beast was clear.

Good eatin' thought the department manager. He was the only one whose head was lifted above a keyboard and thus had even a clue of the imminent danger that the fetid and fecund swamp presented.

Cut tentacles in slices and braise in olive oil. Add garlic, dill, salt and pepper. Simmer until tender. Serve with rice.
