Default Self-describing taglines: taglines that describe themselves

Apparently I'm not the only one with permissions to change my avatar =]
But really, the logo of a Canadian game show? That's an interesting choice...

It matches your username, which is more than can be said for most of the avatars.

What's your connection with the gameshow then? Avid viewer? Staff member on the show? One-time contestant? Presenter??

On the subject of avatars, there's a certain member here whose avatar includes an image of a different member of mersenneforum.org (but no image of him/herself).

There might be more than one member that matches that. Not me though.

I didn't know that show existed. As I said, not I changed the avatar (there's some moderator you should point these questions to).

If you don't chose an avatar by yourself for a period, one will be chosen for you, matching your user name, or personality, things said in posts, cranking level, humor, etc. Few people here look for such matching criteria, I was one of them but partially gave up when the restriction that "we can't change avatars of people who already have them" was enforced. No fun anymore.

[edit: of course, you can any time change the avatar to whatever you think suitable, and it will not be touched again, unless is offensive or unsuitable, like adult content, racism, etc]

Ah, when you said that you were apparently not the only one with permission to change your avatar, I thought you meant that you had changed your avatar yourself and that others could do the same. Now I understand what you really meant.

I think it's a cool avatar. And it's interesting that you didn't know about the game show with your chosen login name!

Just in case this clears any confusion: mods cannot change (other's) avatars. Mods can edit bad things out of other's posts, and can delete/move posts out of their forums (only one way - out; e.g. they can move to Misc.Math.).

Supermods also cannot change other's avatars. They can edit bad things out of other's posts, can move posts anywhere, and can ban users who need a time-out. The coolest part is of course - access to the Hoff forum with nakid piktures of his Hoffness and ...oh no, I've said too much, I set it up /lipsyncs to R.E.M/.

It's elementary, Watson! You can do the rest of the calculation. There are precisely 10[SUB]2[/SUB] users in the world who can change any particular avatar.

I think you forgot to include the hackers and the server hosting staff in that count. Of the two you do mention, I only know of one of them. So I am scratching head to think who is the other one.

This post number matches my user number. I know nobody cares though.

The two people are the user himself, and Xyzzy (or so I'm assuming). So if the user didn't change his avatar...
Also, this count is off for the case where user == Xyzzy. Only he can change his own avatar.

Aha, good point.
There are some mathematicians in the crowd - I suspected that.

It was not "changing" of the avatar. He had no avatar, and one was assigned for him. He didn't like it, he changed it to the actual snake graphic. That is OK, it will not be changed again, end of story. Also, there might be more than two people on this forum who can assign new avatars, see my former post.
