Well thankyou for asking permission to remove my post from its context, delay it by 12 hours and then lay down the law as to what the serious post was about. At least you didn't wilfully edit it for a change.

I think the ground rules should be agreed on, and apply equally to all particpants.
1) Chalsall rescind all moderation powers in this thread.
2) Nobody's post will be delayed or tampered with in any way.
3) If anyone appears to be "winning" the debate, (s)he shall be banned from mersenneforum. Winning is no longer PC.

The standard of discussion should attempt to live up to that of Bill's two posts, and by inference the post to which he was replying, which he had
evidently read, and parts of which he understood

Despite the GPU72 mob's obsession with their hardware, under no circumstances should this turn into a mass debate.

FWIW, I think we should toss back anything < 64M which is factored to 73 bits. We survived the last Primenet glitch but we may have some 69Ms being assigned next time. I would prefer some breathing room or insurance against 69Ms being assigned. Right now with 5 hours to go before midnight we have only about 250 exponents available to be assigned. I know that spidey is monitoring this and releasing exponents at 73 proactively but sh*t happens so spidey could be a bit more aggressive in tossing back exponents.

Gain a warped sense of humor...

Everything being handed out right now by Primenet is TFed to at least 74 bits, and P-1'ed.

Please forgive me for this, but I'm trying to prove a point.

Rest assured "Spidy" has the rip-cord in its hand....

Please feel free to do so.

Oxy-acetylene is my personal favorite. But you need to know how to work with it.

I'll fill the role of Argon for this one. David didn't get any younger so nothing will happen differently.

Hey Foetus Boy,
Good Thankin'.
Best you lie low for a bit.
If you can't stand the oxy-acetylene what what do you do?

The sad part is, as another SM pointed out, you probably always wanted to be something like a Tucker. But you'll never be. You just don't have the depth in you.
