That's tech support in a tin can if I've ever seen it. I thought I was getting some issues when dealing with my wireless internet.

"I can't connect my device to the wireless modem unless I change the default IP from 192.168.etc to 172.16.etc. Can you speculate on why this is a problem? Will I encounter any issues by changing the modem's IP?

"192.168 should work fine"

"No, I just said to you that it doesn't."

"Yes. It does."

I.e.: your problem is not on their list and therefore does not exist. You should demand that they pay for all the shipping too. This is ridiculous. You tell them you're not satisfied and they keep going with the shipping.

They're screwing you over for being right...

I guess they just don't understand that the mfaktc benchmark is all you need to see that the 660 Ti's performance is not satisfactory compared to the 570.

To me it seems more likely "Why doesn't this PITA just go away?"

Just run it for a couple of days and then tell them that it doesn't perform as well for your specific application. Give them performance numbers from your own specific case, supported by screen-shots if necessary.
It seems they don't believe your benchmarks and want you to test it first. So test it and tell them the conclusion.

I think it's a combination of both, mostly along the lines of the second.

What I fear they'll say is "fine, you can RMA your 660ti and get a 570 back, you pay shipping". This is already my second time RMA'ing the 570, and each time I ship for RMA it I'm out $32, if I have to pay for a 3rd shipping that's >$90 to keep my card running.

I'd apply lots of pressure to them to pay for the shipping. You told them "No. Don't give me a 660 Ti. I want a 570" and they just went and did their own thing anyway. Head to any of their public pages like facebook and complain, lots. Keep hassling them. They'll eventually give. As long as you have more patience than they do.

Write a ~~nasty~~ truthful review at Newegg.
Better at the 660Ti product page then at the 570's (which is retired, obviously and will not be noticed).
