Started with the last checked index (1456) at factordb.com, to confirm my software configuration was working ok. After about 12 hours index now at 1476 (working on 1477), so will continue unless I've missed something and I'm poaching someone else's work.

You seem to have it right. It might be worth submitting a few iterations to the factordb to check you started it right but otherwise you seem fine.
