What about Bd5?

It lets us trade bishops, which is disadvantageous for them at this point (in my opinion) and then develop our queen to e4.

Better than Bxe4 but I agree Bc8 is better.

Although the game may be over by August, I will be away August 2-15 doing a 120 km backpacking trip in the mountains of northeast New Mexico.

And closer to today, I will be away climbing Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48 United States: [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Whitney"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Whitney[/URL]

What are the dates of your Mount Whitney expedition, just so that we know?

Sorry, had the dates listed when I originally posted in the Move 23 thread by mistake!

Mt. Whitney July 12-14: one day to drive there from the San Francisco area, hike the mountain from 1:00 am to 7:00 pm the second day, drive home the third day. Going with my son-in-law, his cousin and one of their friends. I'm the old guy guide!

I really enjoy outdoor adventures!
