Code:
GTX Titan II “Ultra” : 837 / 950 / 3,400 MHz As if Titan's stock memory clock was unstable enough, wait till you get your hands on this. Anyways, something like this should have been expected, since current Titan has one SMX disabled. Now, lets wait and see if any of this turns out to be true

I'm quite skeptical of these rumors, especially after reading the 2 articles
provided via links above. The only part of it that sounds like it might come to pass in the near/medium future is the Titan LE product which would provide Nvidia revenue from using the GPU chips that did not pass binning ( sorting & testing ) for either the Tesla K20 or the current Titan. AFA a board that enables the "missing" SMX, I doubt very much it would appear in a consumer, GEFORCE board BEFORE it appeared in a Tesla variant; they would make more money and would want to reserve their premium GPU for their flagship board. Secondly, the power use is wrong; the current target power for Tesla K20 and Titan is already at 250 watts. Third, some of the clock speeds shown for the Ultra product are already achieved in the GTX Hydro variants. ( Maybe that's what they heard ). Just my $.02 . |
