I should be around. I have just been hit by a car so I am in bed for most of the day. The only thing I can't guarrentee is not falling asleep etc. I am in a bit of shock.
Oh my goodness! Have you been checked over by a doctor or ambulance personnel? Please take care of yourself. Take it easy. Don't you go worrying about our move, that's far less important. I'll try and get online in case Rich and Pace are too busy. Between the three of us I'm sure we'll get the move posted. |

TBH I don't have much better to do. I have fallen behind in certain stuff like this this week and am going to take the oportunity to catch up properly. I am in bed on my computer. Not sure I have ever used the word "this" twice in a row before. Should there be a comma I wonder? |

David, please take care of yourself! If you are not feeling well, consider going to a doctor or hospital and get checked out further. Consider taking some arnica which is very good for injuries.
I am going jump off the fence and throw my support behind 20. Rbd1 as the stronger strategic move. I will be at work this morning so I can post the move before the time limit, if needed. I agree we should not take up Dubslow's offer to go past the time limit. |

I'm still a fan of Qd2. (Brian-E, in the line you gave, after Rad8 we win back our extra pawn with Rxc4. Alternatively, we move Nd4 to threaten the fork and protect our back rank. If they take with the bishop we gain a passed pawn!
In the Rbd1 line we have also lost a trade (two rooks for a queen), they have their two rooks already bearing down on us, and if we are not careful they can make a powerful passed pawn. -------- henry, I hope you feel better soon. Getting hit by a car can be a traumatic thing. Make sure not to sign any insurance waivers for a couple months in case problems arise. |

So we have Brian and myself with 20. Rbd1 (but both willing to go with 20. Qd1), and Z-F with 20. Qd2.
So David, where stand ye? |

Oops, sorry, I originally intended 25...Rae8, but wrote Rad8 at the last minute which can indeed be replied to by what you suggest. Sorry for messing you and everyone else about with my silly errors. I assess the position after 25...Rae8 in that line as a clear disadvantage in the endgame, an uphill battle for slim drawing chances, whereas....
In the Rbd1 line we have also lost a trade (two rooks for a queen), they have their two rooks already bearing down on us, and if we are not careful they can make a powerful passed pawn.
...this is true, but it's a complicated dynamic position because of the material imbalance, hence reasonable practical chances, as opposed to a miserable pawn-down ending. |

Please feel free (anyone) to post in "Vote Chess" so that Raman won't have a fit again.
David, please take good care of yourself! A lot of consequences are late to present themselves, so it would be best to be with someone at least for a day. Don't take your chances. Or at least post here every couple of hours - we will look after you, at the very least! (seriously) |
