Yes, I know... Sorry. I've just seen too much fanboy rage lately all over(not this forum !) which I am sure helps in some ways, people of course have the right to their own opinion, but many times I think it goes overboard.

(apple, intel, amd, nvidia, linux, windows, blah blah you name it, they're all out there :p)

Anyways, back to the original msg: @swl551: Send ctrl+c doesn't work on Win8.

A few posts on there in the world highlight that windows 8 changed/broke functionality in kernel32.dll which I need to execute
GenerateConsoleCtrlEvent. One would think it is just sending a keystroke sequence to a window over the Windows Message Pump, but alas it is much more complicated than that.
Someday I'll look into it, but with mfaktC the number of persons running multiple instances on same machine has gone down dramatically. It might be time to deprecate the feature altogether.

You may try compatibility mode, but it may affect your speed (better not!). Why do you need ctrl+c? the program is done to run not to be stopped...

Default SendCtrlCode.exe now works with Win8

Kracker tested it for me last night.

The 2.4.4 zip has been updated with SendCtrlCode.exe version 1.5.2.

The problem is that Win8 no longer supports Console.Writes after AttachConsole is performed. No clue why, but removing all Console.Writes fixed the issue.

Scott, a suggestion...

Aramis is suggesting there might be confusion to users who use MISFIT and select "What Makes Sense" and find that their pledge level is ignored.

Would it be possible for you to "ghost" out the Pledge and Range fields when WMS is selected? And/or give some sort of an alert to the user that doing WMS gives full control to GPU72 as to the range and pledge level?

I'll make the pledge read only if WMS is selected for GPU72 and show a notation on why and how to force a desired pledge. (selecting anything other than WMS)
