It was published.

All that needs to happen is for Raman to publish a follow-up post in the thread where he made the mistake. Standard methodology.

Published means peer reviewed before widespread dissemination. Unless one considers this place to be the peer review itself (as was largely the case for Ernst's paper), this is not "published" by any means.

He has in fact posted the follow up -- it would be courteous if someone could at least leave a pointer to the correction in the old post.

Edit/crosspost: Done.

Thanks to you.

It would have been better if it had been mentioned that versions in
inside post #3 were FALSE. Atleast the pointer could be made to point on into post #15 .

Just to be pedantic, one definition of "Published" is "To bring to the public attention; announce". Posting on a public forum definitely falls under that definition.

Peer-review is one way people avoid embarrassing themselves by publishing before having their results independently verified.

Default Duplicate posting

I had unfortunately posted with the same message twice.

I would be happy if one of the supermods would delete the FIRST COPY,
that is being post #35.
http://mersenneforum.org/showthread....17336&p=329118

It was being a bit incomplete,
but I posted with the same post again.

Please delete with this post # 329118.
http://mersenneforum.org/showthread....17336&p=329118

Thanks to you.

I would have done it by using myself,
but I am not being sure where has the "Delete Post" button gone during these days.

It was being available within posting, by itself, a while ago, over thereby!

I posted something silly a few days ago and successfully deleted it. You click on "edit" during the hour when you can still do so, and then there is an option to delete your post which you can select before clicking on "save". You then have to select another option confirming the deletion of the post, if I remember correctly. You can also type a reason for the post deletion and I guess that just moderators will then see this reason because for other users your post will have vanished.

Default Post deletion request please

Would someone please mind with, to hard-deleting with this following entire post, completely?
http://mersenneforum.org/showthread....17736&p=329118

Furthermore I have posted with an updated newer version.

I have talked to other people, but no one seems to listen to it. Why? I am being sick of it.

Have you ever heard of a tit-for-tat prinicple, Raman?

Why are you expecting (no! demanding!) people to help you, when you time after time show complete disrespect to what others are saying? At best, people tend to turn their back on a person who behaves like a spoiled child. At worst, they lose their temper. Completely ignoring you seems to be the best strategy.

This is the last time I will speak to you on this subject. Learn to listen to other people!
